The Kentucky Department of Agriculture (KDA) will host a Grower-Buyer MeetUp in Burlington, Kentucky, on Thursday, November 9, 2023. The free event is open to all agricultural producers, buyers, and distributors in Northern Kentucky.
The MeetUp will provide an opportunity for growers to network with potential buyers and learn about new market channels. More than a dozen buyers of Kentucky produce, including restaurants, institutions, and distributors, will be in attendance.
"This event is a great opportunity for Kentucky farm families to interact with one another and form mutually beneficial business partnerships with potential buyers," said KDA Commissioner Dr. Ryan Quarles. "Developing these relationships strengthens our agricultural community and those who rely on them."
The Grower-Buyer MeetUp will begin with participant check-in at 9:30 a.m. EST, followed by buyer introductions at 10 a.m. The MeetUp will conclude at noon.
The event is sponsored by the KDA, the Kentucky Center for Ag and Rural Development (KCARD), the University of Kentucky, and the Kentucky Horticulture Council (KHC).
Space is limited at the free event. To ensure your spot is reserved, individuals are encouraged to register online at: https://forms.gle/p1BvbkzBswS4cMPg9.
