The Kentucky Small, Limited-Resource, Minority Farmers Conference will take place from Thursday, November 16 at 10:00 AM to Saturday, November 18 at 3:00 PM at the Harold R. Benson Research and Demonstration Farm, 1525 Mills Lane, Frankfort, KY 40601.
Now in its 25th year, the conference is a unique platform for underserved farmers to interact with professionals from USDA, state, research, and Extension to learn about various programs and opportunities. This year's theme is "Planting Ideas, Harvesting Success."
The conference has grown to become the largest assembly of African American farmers in Kentucky. It also provides an opportunity for farmers across the state to network and share ideas. The conference will cover numerous topics related to production, economics, health, and land stewardship.
Attendees will also have the chance to participate in educational workshops, tours, and networking opportunities. The conference will feature keynote speakers and recognition of the Kentucky Small, Limited-Resource Farmer of the Year and Women in Agriculture Excellence Awardee.
