Kentucky farmers network with buyers at regional meetup

By Blake Jackson

A free regional workshop will be held in Burlington, Kentucky, on Thursday, bringing together producers and buyers for a morning of networking and market channel education.

The event, organized by the Kentucky Department of Agriculture, the Kentucky Center for Ag and Rural Development, the University of Kentucky, and the Kentucky Horticulture Council, will provide an opportunity for Kentucky farm families of all sizes to connect with potential buyers and form mutually beneficial business partnerships.

More than a dozen buyers of Kentucky produce, including restaurants, institutions, and distributors, will be in attendance.

The event will begin with participant check-in at 9:30 a.m., followed by buyer introductions at 10 a.m. The event will conclude by noon and take place at the Boone County Extension Office, 6028 Camp Ernst Road, in Burlington.

Space is limited for the free event. To ensure your spot is reserved, individuals are encouraged to register online at: https://forms.gle/p1BvbkzBswS4cMPg9
